Meet the Director

Gemma Strauss

Welcome to Hearts & Minds Early Learning Golden Bay, my name is Gemma and I am the Centre Director for this beautiful service.

I have been working in Early Childhood Education & Care for the past 20 years. I opened my Family Day Care Business in Secret Harbour in 2002, which I loved and gave me the opportunity to offer a great level of service to local families as well as my own children.

When the opportunity arose to join Hearts & Minds Early Learning as a Centre Director, I embraced the chance to take my next step in early childhood education and care, as well as to be able to reach out and become a part of the broader community of Golden Bay and Secret Harbour.

I hold a Training & Assessing qualification and have worked in Vocational Education Training, lecturing and educating the Certificate III and Diploma of Early Childhood Education & Care.

I look forward to meeting your little people and hearing how we can add to their lives.

Meet the 2IC Service administrator

Yanee Bloomfield

My name is Yanee & I’m excited to introduce myself as the Service Administrator/2IC for Hearts & Minds Golden Bay. I have over 10 years experience in the childcare sector & a genuine passion for children’s learning, development & wellbeing.

As a mother myself, I understand just how vital these early years in a child’s life are. I believe every child is unique, and my focus is always on providing a safe, secure, and nurturing environment where they can thrive. In my role, I take pride in supporting our wonderful educators, partnering closely with families on their ongoing journey, and working alongside our Centre Director to create a warm and inspiring community.

I look forward to meeting our families & being part of your children’s learning journey.
