Our new centre in McKellar is conveniently located just off Owen Dixon Drive, next to the Belconnen Soccer Club.  The centre offers exceptional facilities with a beautiful light filled dining space, dedicated arts and craft rooms and a huge outdoor play area with bush kinder exploratory garden, overlooking the peaceful surrounds of McKellar park and wetland. 

We have now opened and look forward to welcoming you to our beautiful centre!

Meet the Director:

Marta Lisiewicz

Welcome to Hearts & Minds Early Learning McKellar, my name is Marta and I am the Centre Director for this beautiful new service.

I have worked in Early Childhood Education & Care for the past 13 years. For the last 10 years, I have been a Centre Director, which I love.  I am striving to create a community in Hearts & Minds McKellar that brings us together so we can learn from each other, support each other and rely on each other while we are educating our children. Let us be a part of your village.

I believe that our children are competent and capable learners.  Each child has the natural ability to question, interpret and understand the world around them.

Meet the Team:

Dency Patel

Welcome to Hearts & Minds Early Learning, my name is Dency and I am appointed as Service Administrator/2IC. I have a diploma in Early Childhood and Education and have worked in this sector for the past 9 years. I started my work as an educator and over the years have progressed to being an Assistant Director. 

Early learning years for a child are very crucial, and no child is the same! I always strive to help children learn through play and their own interests. I have a passion to work with young children, support them through their needs, see them growing and reaching their milestones. I strongly believe that nature is one of the important factors affecting a child’s early years and so I love spending time outdoors with children. 

When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family, Reading books and painting. 

I look forward seeing different families and children at our service.
